JOB DESCRIPTION

We are seeking a motivated and reliable Small Domestic Appliances Technician to join our Service Department. The successful candidate will be responsible for diagnosing, repairing, and testing a wide range of small domestic appliances while ensuring repairs are completed efficiently and to a high standard. The role also involves liaising with the Spare Parts Department, maintaining accurate service records, and ensuring the workshop remains organised and well managed.

Key RESPONSIBILITIES

Diagnose faults and carry out repairs on a variety of small domestic appliances, both in and out of warranty.
Test repaired appliances to ensure they meet quality and safety standards before being returned to customers.
Identify defective components and communicate with the Spare Parts Department regarding parts required for repairs and customer quotations.
Prepare accurate repair estimates where applicable.
Maintain detailed and accurate records of repairs, parts used, and service activities.
Organise and manage workshop stock, tools, and storage locations to ensure an efficient working environment.
Ensure all repairs are carried out in accordance with company procedures and health and safety regulations.
Assist in maintaining a clean, safe, and organised workshop.
Work collaboratively with colleagues across the Service and Spare Parts Departments to ensure excellent customer service.

What we’re looking for:

Basic knowledge of electrical and electronic systems is essential.
Relevant technical qualifications or certifications in electrical, electronics, or appliance repair will be considered an asset.
Previous experience repairing small domestic appliances is considered an advantage.
Ability to diagnose faults and troubleshoot technical issues effectively.
Capable of working independently while also contributing positively within a team environment.
Flexible, organised, and able to manage multiple repair tasks efficiently.
Good communication skills in English, both spoken and written.
A valid Category B driving licence will be considered an asset.
Strong attention to detail and commitment to delivering high-quality workmanship.
